Johan & Fran's Trillium

Hi, I am Johan and now that my renovation is finished, I thought it's time to introduce myself. We moved to Canada 2 years ago and bought a 1300 model, although I new already a 4500 model would fit us better with 3 children. And we were lucky since we found one exactly one year ago in Hope. during the winter and the benefit of COVID, I had plenty of time to do the renovation and did lots of beatifull trips during the summer.

It is produced in 1979 and has serial number; 45-113 1382, so this one can be added to the list.

Does anybody know how many of this 4500 model have been produced and how many are still existing?

Thanks
Johan

According to the serial number list, that I am horribly delinquent in updating, (Jan 16-2018?!?) the highest sequence number is 1754 on a 1981 4500. That is 372 4500s after yours.

The latest version of this list can be found here:

A link to this thread has now been added to that thread. I would ask that you also post a picture of the data sheet that would have been on the inside of your closet door. Assuming it is still a closet. Also, it would be nice to see a picture from the front curb side of the trailer. I am very curious about what you did with the furnace. You appeare to have removed the sink, stove, and fridge. Though the top fridge vent is still there. I would also request a picture of the inside, toward the door/closet.

As for how many still exist, there is no good way to determine this.

Johan & Fran's Trillium

Hi David, thanks for your response. I included the pictures as requested. As you can see, I have indeed taken all equipment out; sink, furnace and stove, since we basically do all cooking, etc outside and as well we noticed it is very well insulated and we mostly camp during the summer anyway. I installed solar panels on the roof, so I have a coolbox instead of the fridge.

Do you know what the '3' stand for in the serial number, since I noticed mostly are 45-110, 45-111 or 45-112?

thanks

John, The meaning of that digit seems to apply to the floor plan of the trailer, though there is quite a bit of inconsistancy. My best guess for a 3 in that spot is a front bathroom.

From the list:
Floorplans (third digit)
1 = Front Gaucho
2 = Front Dinette
3 = Front Bath

I suspect the 0 was before they had different floor plans.

Thanks David,

I think you are right, since I believe originally there was this bath in the front, but this was already removed when I bought it.
