L'air 4500

Hi all - my name is Nathan and I introduced myself about a year ago but we just received our new L'air 4500 this week. It is the first off the line for 2022 and the second actually on the road. L'air is a new company located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Our model is 15ft long and has a queen bed, bunk bed, A/C, stovetop burners, porta potty, solar power, bike rack. There are other options etc. but that is the general gist.

We are super pleased so far having done our first trip from Waterloo to Peterborough (200km) with mostly highway driving. The unit itself is nice and light at 2200 lbs and we are pulling it with a 2018 Santa fe xl . We plan to take a 3 month vacation in 2022 through Canada to Vancouver Island and then back through the states including Yellowstone, grand canyon, zion etc.

Thought I would drop a line to put L'air officially on the map. We are parking it in a barn for the winter and will be back on the road in May. More units are likely to be delivered starting in January 2022.

I am so happy to see that model being produced again! We’ve heard L’air was in the works, and I’m glad to see units being delivered.

You mentioned A/C, but I don’t see a roof unit. What type of A/C are they using?

Hi Jon thanks for the msg! The AC is an 8,000 BTU air conditioning unit that vents out the side of the unit near the porch light/door.

Hi Nate and welcome! I'm also a new owner of a 4500 but a 1978 and not a 2022! I've been checking out all the videos L'air has produced and getting some ideas for my own Trill.

I am interested in how the AC is configured as well. They showed it in one video where the closet is but that's all I've seen. Any pictures of the setup and venting you feel like sharing would be more than appreciated! I'm considering adding AC to ours and the closet would be a nice spot for it if it works!

Hi Alex - we actually have it stored in a barn at the moment and is inaccessible. Really it was from what I could see just mounted in a closet and then the vent was directly beside it. I know that's not helpful but I will have access in the spring!
