Leaky toilet

My husband and I own a 1991 Casita Freedom deluxe. We have had it for 2 years now and haven't used it very much. The carpet really wigged me out, but have gotten more used to it now, as there aren't that many options for change. We are renovating it to suit our (my) tastes more in hopes of getting more use from it. We have discovered a leak in the toilet-yuck! Wondered if anyone had unset their toilet and had any words of wisdom into this endeavor? We are pretty good diy'ers.

Leaky toilet

I can't guarantee that this is the problem because you did not really describe where the leak is, but a common place for a leak is where the supply line connects to the toilet, usually in the back. The manufacturers' instructions are to tighten the fittings "finger tight." If the leak is there, tighten it a little bit more, using pliers if necessary, but DO NOT over do it. Usually the toilet is held in place with a couple of nuts/bolts. You may have to tip the toilet forward to gain access to the supply line.
