Long time lurker, new owner

Steve from west central Florida. Former BSA scoutmaster. I've been shopping fiberglass trailers for a couple of years and finally stumbled onto our Casita Independance Deluxe about 3 months ago.

So far we've had 2 overnights (just for sleep), and one 2-day stay in an RV park. For now, we still love it! I'm also active on a couple of groups on Facebook.

Upgrades I'm considering are: a bigger truck to haul it, generator to run the AC boondocking, LED lighting, and a better mattress or padding for the bed.

Longer term: bigger water tank, high-lift axles and shocks, closet shelves, outdoor shower, leveling blocks, and a backup camera.

Congrats. Look into installing an AC Soft Start on your AC. On our Casita the AC would trip the 3500 Watt Generator. The start-up AC AMPS were 54. After the Soft Start install, the start AMPS was 15. Now we use a 2000 Watt GAS/PROPANE duel fuel generator. A 20-pound propane tank will last 16 hours.
