Looking for RV

Hi I'm Yicel. My girlfriend and me are looking for a 16' fiberglass RV. We would love for someone to let us know if they are selling one.

Welcome to the group Yicel and G.F.
If you let us know a lot more about what you want the quality of help will go up quickly.
For Starters:
1. What will you be towing with. That will have a direct effect on what trailers may work for you and which ones may not
2. What condition do you want? There will be trailers offered from basket case projects to "as new" turn key condition
3. Is age a consideration? FGRV's have been around for over 40 years and many, including my 1973 Hunter, are still in near daily use.
4. Where do you live and how far can you travel to look/buy?
5. What is the upper end of your desired budget?
6. Any special "Must Haves? A/C, Bathroom, shower, furnace, all of the above, etc.

Tell us some more and help will be on it's way.
In the mean time, check our classified ads, as well as poke around at

Good Luck

I have a Suzuki Vitara v6 I currently pull a 16" pop up. So I'm looking for a travel trailer RV 16". I would love for it to be a Scamp. We were camping at Highland Hammocks this weekend and learned about the Scamps for the first time and fell in love. We knew that would be a great home on wheels.

Thank You for the prompt reply.
The Suzuki Vitara and Suzuki Grand Vitara show a towing capacity range of 1000 to 3000 lbs based on year, model and drive line. I see you have a V6 listed, is that a Grand Vitara and what year?

A Scamp 16', going down the road, will have a weight of about 2400 to 2800 lbs based on a number of them that were weighed at gatherings. For your info here is a link to those weights.

Can you update your info and let us know a bit more about where you are located and your budget?

HA... Just found out, you are in Florida. Is that the area the you live in or is it a vacation.

I'm not sure how easy it is to update the profile from the phone app, Yicel, so I've added your name and state for you. You can do a more complete job of it yourself, if you can login to the site via a computer.

Good luck in your Scamp search! And welcome to FiberglassRV.com.

Thanks Mary! I don't know much about the problems folks have using something other than a computer. I don't own a smarty pants phone, but am on FIVE computers daily (four PCs and a MAC). Aren't we all glad there's folks here to answer questions

Okey Dokey.... Then you have a Grand Vitara, not a Vitara.(they are very different) is that correct? Did that information come out of your owners manual or another source?
As you might have guessed, determining manufacturers towing limits before making recommendations is a biggie hereabouts. The entire questions about over limit towing will bring about a flood of posts that will last until a moderator shuts the thread down LOL.

The good news, you live in Florida and that is an area fairly well stocked with small travel trailers and the molded ones like Scamps, Casitas and others.

More good news, right now is the toe of the selling seasons, prices are still low from winter, but will soon be on the way up as more and more buyers and sellers thaw out and come into the market.

Just as a WAG, $6000 should get you a 16' Scamp in ready to use condition in the age range of about 8-10+ years of age. There is currently one in Citrus Springs FL for a tad more, and several others scattered around the U.S. on this site:
Scamp Trailers - US | Fiberglass RV's For Sale
Go back to the home page of that site and you can look for others.

Also check into the RV's section of all the Cragslist's in your area

But please, confirm the questions about towing capacity.
