Do you mean aluminum as in Airstream or as in Livinlite?

#1 reason for FG, no or at least much less worries about leaks.

Take the time to attend RV Shows and visit RV dealerships to determine what you like and require in a travel trailer. The molded fiberglass units cost much more on average. The standard aluminum and fiberglass (exterior material construction) will cost less on average and deliver more amenities. You will discover that items like bathrooms, Air Conditioners and well equipped kitchens are considered standard in most travel trailers but molded fiberglass units all too often consider these features as "optional". Such items are not optional in my RV lifestyle.
You will discover major savings if you shop used units. There are thousands of used travel trailers in almost new condition out there at substantial savings.
I own a 15 year old travel trailer and have never had a leak...not one drop...my unit is not molded fiberglass.
I have owned 3 conventional Travel Trailers and none of them have had any leaks...none were molded fiberglass.
Select what fits your lifestyle.
Enjoy your search and Happy Camping.

If you do decide to buy a used fiberglass trailer, we have a 2005 Casita Liberty Deluxe which we will be selling in late March. We live in northern Indiana. It is in very good condition.
