Welcome!

Budget- yes, along with weight constraints of your intended tow vehicle, number of beds, and preferred features are all helpful to narrow down your search.

Beware bed sizes. They’re all over the map, and terms like “twin,” “full,” and “queen” tend to be used loosely. The double bed in our 13’ Scamp, at 45”, is only a little wider than a residential twin bed, and the bunks are a cot-sized 24”. We made it work for a family of four, but it’s cozy.

Good news is I’m seeing more for sale. Bad news is the best deals get snapped up fast.

Best wishes in your “egg hunt”!

Hi, Bob. If you haven’t already done so, join some of the other fiberglass RV forums on Facebook such as those for Casitas and Scamps specifically. I’m not familiar with Trillium or other brands. I think I saw several on Casita Life in Florida. I’m in North Carolina and will be listing my 2009 17’ Casita Spirit Deluxe as soon as I can get her waxed and a few things done. She’s currently winterized. I also suggest you do some research on what brand you might be interested in so you’ll have a better understanding of your options.

Hi Bob.
Are you looking for a vintage egg?
Are you looking to restore it?
How much are you willing to spend?
I recently purchased one that needed a lot of “cleaning up”, with parts missing but in relatively good shape with no major issues. I’m currently “cleaning it up” . I paid more for it than I sold my Trillium for a couple of years ago, but worth it to me. It’s only worth what someone is willing to pay so keeping that in mind I may consider selling it when I finish.
Good luck on your search. I’d be interested in finding out how your search went.
Susan
