Maud from Wisco and her 13' Scamp Purl

Just wanted to say hi officially! I live about 100 mile straight west of Lambeau Field (the center of the universe) and have just became the proud owner of a 1985 13' Scamp who was just christened "Purl" on her maiden voyage last weekend.



She has a new axle, a new floor and new tires but still some room for improvement but that's where the fun is!

I'm loving the fiberglassrv boards. I just recently sold my beloved VW Westfalia full camper - Harold and for years have been hanging out on The Samba boards. I am looking forward to both learning and contributing to the Forum here... and who knows, maybe we'll meet someday at a gathering!

Yes! I'm hoping to be able to make a rally eventually.

Sad to feel the chill in the air and the near end of the camping season for me. It's when I envy the southerners :-)

Nice looking scamp! I am a HUGE packers fan but live in MN....with HUGE vikes fan hubby....my best friend lives in Manitowoc and has Pack season tickets, so we come through on 29 (I think that's the main one now) about twice a year....if I ever find an egg....maybe we can meet up. Keep your eyes peeled for me over there....it would be a good day trip (and I could always stay in Manitowoc....or in Milwaukee by my sister)....

Hello from another Samba person. We pull our fiberglass trailer with our Eurovan and have a new Beetle, a '69 Beetle, and a '68 VW pickup. There are lots of people on this forum who live in both worlds.

Hey John! I grew up in Michigan (within the Lansing/St Johns/Ionia triangle) and my oldest daughter lives outside of Ludington so I am certain Purl will get to Michigan every year or so. In fact, one must on the to-scamp list is to take her on the ferry across Lake Michigan. I have sailed on the SS Badger at least a 100 times but have never taken a trailer on it (other than my bicycle trailer that is) We'll be sure to let you know when we're in your neck of the woods!
