My first post

Greetings fellow campers! After a long six months of looking at many a fiberglass rig and hours of reading the great posts on this site, our family found the perfect little trailer for us. She's a Bigfoot 17.5 footer.
We are now busy repairing and painting rust; sealing the roof; fixing various small things; etc.... Next up is the big job of waxing the outside. Yikes!
I want to say thanks for having such a great site! It is full of great info, nice people and is very easy to navigate! KUDOS

Hi Cheryl, welcome to FiberglassRV. We're glad you're here.

Where in the Columbia River Gorge are you located? I'm in the PDX east county area.

If you're ready, make plans to come down to the Northern Oregon Fall Gathering. We'd love to meet you!

Is the plural Bigfeet or Bigfoots? I would certainly hate to offend anyone by saying it the wrong way.

Hello Donna and Friends,
My family lives east of Washougal on the Washington side really close to the Clark/Skamania Border. It is pretty much directly across the Columbia River from Gresham OR.

I'm afraid my husband and I are still working "stiffs" and the weekend of the gathering will be a little hard to coordinate this year. It still may be a possibillity if my boss is game.

PS: Answers.com states that
"Bigfoot is both singular and plural, like the word sheep or fish. But also saying Bigfoots is accepted but not grammatically correct."
I just learned something new today!

Cheryl, if I stand on the roof of my home I could probably wave to you .

Don't you hate that four-letter word.. WORK. Okay, so if Fall NOG doesn't work out, how about Spring NOG?

I have been assured the plural of Bigfoot is "Bigfeets."

Good luck on all your work!
Just remember that when it all seems overwhelming, many people would give an appendage for that trailer.

Thanks everyone... I was thinking that a nice mini teardrop trailer was looking a lot easier to manage as I was perched on the roof with my buffer and wax and feeling very scared to fall off. (I don't do well with ladders or heights)
As to family: It is shrinking now. I raised four rambunctious boys, (five if you count the hubby), but only one is at home now. We did tons of camping in an old tent trailer....we wore it out!
When it went to trailer heaven, I voted to get a real trailer this time (no more setting up the top) and as usual, my vote won! (otherwise the camp cook was going on strike).
Well...I have to get back to my roof...I will try to post pics later.
