New 1985 Perris Pacer Owner!

My fiance and I just recently bought thus cute lil eggy.
We named it Napsack
Today I ripped the old linoleum and carpet off the floors.
I'm thinking of doing new tile floors instead.
Does anyone have recommendations on how to remove the "rat fur" off the walls? It is old and stinky and I want to cover the walls with something new that would also be somewhat insulating. Any ideas?
I also am wondering about how to replace the seals around the door? I'm a newbie with big dreams! I could use all the advice I can get

Welcome to FGRV Sierra. You may want to hold off pulling the rat fur off. It's not an easy/cheap job to replace it. Others will be along with ideas and experience with cleaning it up. The first thing you really need to do is check/repack the bearings, check tire dates as they age out before wearing out. If there're 4 years or more old, I'd replace all 3 so you have a start date for the future. Also make sure the wiring is all working OK. Might want to just clean it up and use it for a while and see how it goes before you start any mods. Oh, we like pics....

thanks Borrego dave

Good news! The tires are new and the bearings repacked only 1 year ago. All the wiring seems to be in working order also.I bought the lil egg in mint condition so all that's left to do is make it feel and look like home to me! I have allergies and the original rat fur is full of dust from 1985, I hope to find a solution to the wall rehab that is both inexpensive and beautiful. Thanks for the tips, I will keep reading up on my new project.

Dont remove the "rat fur"
Rent a carpet/upholstery cleaner and some prespotter and hypoallergenic cleaner
Hit it hard and let it dry eith windows/door/vents open
You will be very happily surprised
Nice find
