Well, my husband tested his plan and it worked. He used a dryer vent hose and ran it out the escape window in the ceiling. He used heavy cardboard to make a temporary duct tunnel from the back of the ac. He said the ac ran cold the whole time! So now we just have to get the supplies to do the job and it should work. He is going to cut a small round hole above the existing square hole (that is at the back of the ac) to vent a hose for the intake air. He is going to build a tunnel out of duct material going from the back of the ac to the square hole in the outer wall, leaving room around the tunnel for air flow. He is also going to get a small fan to blow towards the ac. We had to take out a shelf the previous owners installed right above the ac. I hate to lose the storage but it's more important in Texas to have ac! I'm hoping he will be finished with it in the next few weeks so we can take her on her first trip ( with us). I want go thank everyone for their advice!!!
