I'm sure I got plenty of looks on the 80 mile ride home. Knowing the
tires were old/starting to crack I kept my speed below 50 mph & stopped about every 1/2 hour to check for tire problems......fortunately no issues popped (pun intended

) up. The slower speed & frequent stops did take an extra hour for me to get it back.
I think the styling of the
Amerigo is accented well by the Scout II, maybe since they were both made in Indiana (Fort Wayne on the Scout, Bristol on the Amerigo) a mere 70 miles apart they shared some styling designs from the region.
I'm looking forward to using it this Summer & fixing up the old Amerigo......hopefully I can get plenty of good ideas for it here from the FG RV forums!
