new cadet owner here

hello everyone, I've owned my 86 cadet for 2 years and I love it. I'm looking for the same thing almost all cadet owners are and that is a front window, can anybody help? Thanks Bob

Welcome to FiberglassRV Bob, we're glad you found us. Now the bad news, as far as I know... no one has found a new front window for the Cadet on this side of the ocean. They're available in Europe... if you care to pursue that.

Here's a thread about it from 2008: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ows-35802.html

Possibly: Rear Kitchen Window (Freedom Jetsream) 126NTl

You may have to do a mental conversion as in order to sell the Polish Predom caravans (trailers) in Britain with the door on the left, the whole body is fitted back-to-front on the chassis!

But £230 is about US$370 and then the shipping adds more.

Depending on where you are, for $375 you can get a spare with what appears to be a good front window. The rear window looks cracked.
Small Cadet Trailer 10 x 5 - Completely Gutted - Weekend Project - Ontario Travel Trailers, Campers For Sale - Kijiji Ontario Canada.

Another option is to take the measurement and get a normal trailer window made with sliding windows. Not original, but may be cheaper.

cadet window

Ok, The job is completed. I found a new RV window that was 24x 48 with 3 crank open windows and it looks like it was factory inst. I just love garage sales. Thank you all for your ideas. Bob

Bob, did you have to trim any of the body of the window or was it a direct replacement? My front window is still fine, but always looking for good ideas.
Thanks
Len

Len, I had to remove all the rubber around the window then cut the hole slightly larger. After that it was just a matter of fitting the new window. Bob

Very nice! I know the window is a common problem and you solved it beautifully.
