New Comer

Howdy I'm Papa John. I live in South Carolina and I'm semi retired. I have never owned my own camper/trailer. I am looking for something like a 13 Scamp. I would use the trailer for weekend camping, tailgating n small trips. I joined this site bc I figure I can sit back n learn from yall and that will help me make my decision. I keep things simple so a trailer that is FG, small, no bath, no a/c and no awning is what I will try and listen n learn via you...so thanks in advance.

Welcome! No AC living in South Carolina? You must be one tough Papa! LOL
We have an awning and have never used it. At our age, we need a bathroom.
Scamp is a good company. We have a Casita.
There is a company near you called Lil Snoozy 2. Let us know what you decide.

Snoozy Campers

We are in St. Matthews SC and would love to show you around and what we build. We have a very nice camper that is similar but different.

What you describe is just like ours, a very simple 13’er. We’ve enjoyed it with our two kids for over a decade now. It won’t be for sale, though, as our younger daughter has dibs on it after she finishes college and gets settled.

The little ones are hard to find, so be patient, act quickly, and beware scams, which seem to outnumber legitimate offerings on some platforms.

SCAMP

The 13' Scamp would be a great choice for you as your needs are very similar to mine. Depending on what options you want, AC, bath etc. make sure your vehicle will tow it with ease. I found that my 2004 Tacoma 4 cyl just didn't fit the bill, cetainly not ciimbing mountains in Colorado. Good luck and if you go Scamp, I think you will love it like we do ours.
