New from Oregon

Hi all. I've had my much loved 13 ft Casita for over 10 years now. It is a simple no frills little unit that keeps on going with no fuss. I look forward to learning and sharing with all you egg owners!

Welcome, Sherrie! We're so glad you (finally) found us!

Have a look at our trailer registry and upload a pic of yours in a beautiful camp setting - if you like!

Hi Sherri... I too live in the Portland, OR area. There's really quite a few of us around here. Keep an eye on the Rallies section. The Pacific NorthWET is known for throwing great get togethers. In fact a bunch of us are camping at Bullards SP in Bandon next month... the 9th year for the Oregon Gathering

Hope to meet you sometime

I do hope you fuss enough to do the required maintenance on your little unit.

Check your tire age, have your bearings repacked, etc.

I remember the panel truck I bought. I drove it all around even on the X-way. When I took it in for an oil change, the guy asked if I wanted the front wheel bearings checked. I did and when he took them apart, they fell out in pieces!!

Wheel bearings have a way of not giving any indication of a problem and then failing catastrophically.

Hi yes my brother repacked the bearings and the tires are a couple of years old. How often do the bearings need redone?

I treat wheel bearings like I do vehicle oil changes. I have the bearings repacked every year or at 5,000 miles. I don't know what the recommended standard is; that's just me. When you take your trailer in for the yearly safety inspection it's a goof idea to have the bearings packed then.
