New from WI...Hi!
Finally decided to stop just stalking all the great pics and posts and say "hello". Great forum! I've only had my new-to-me Scamp a few months and have especially found the storage ideas and care and maintenance threads so helpful. Thanks a ton!

Hi Tonia, to FiberglassRV. We're glad you stopped stalking and are ready to start talking! So, if you liked all the pictures so much, care to post some of your own?

Hi Tonia,
Glad you joined us. Nice to hear your voice.
Hope you noticed the gathering we will be having in September in Duluth. Under the rally section look for the MN Duluth gathering.
Would be nice to meet you.

Hello, Tonia! Where in Wisconsin. We are in Decorah but spent about a year in the Green Bay/Shawano area.

Thanks for the welcome! I posted a few pics in albums...seems I need a little patience though. I have duplicates---likely because I was antsy and reloaded.
I'll have to look into the Duluth outing. Thanks! Although I have exactly one open weekend that month so the stars need to align :-)
I'm in Wausau WI.
I've been wanting a Scamp for a few years. Jeep Wrangler cant handle much else. Finally broke down, sacrificed the savings intended for a backyard deck, and did it! I absolutely love the convenience. Throw in a cooler and a change of clothes and I'm ready for the weekend! I also feel a little safer than a tent solo camping.

Great blue graphics... makes your trailer uniquely your own. I think you'll make more memories camping in your Scamp than you'd ever get out of a deck!

He's sure looks like one right? =) That is Shorty.
He's my camping buddy. He and my other bassett prefer the table bed so I have no need for a heater.
I have the surround hound version of heat =)

Good point. I'll add that to the list in my head where I justify the choice.
I have to say, I feel sort of like I have the playhouse I never had as a kid

Love the blue stripe.
Where did you get the nice roll out rug/carpet? We've been looking for one that is light weight and easy to manage - not a big "carpet" per se.

The mat came from Camping World (online). This one is 9x12. I opted for the larger size since it was actually cheaper. It's light, "sifts" sand, and dries off quickly after use. Really keeps down the dirt tracked in to the camper.
I store it under the table when traveling. I'm currently checking out the smaller ones for weekend stays for ease and the carrying bag they offer.
Search "patio mat" on Campingworld.com in their search option.

Thanks! I got 'er basically ready to camp a few months ago and convinced myself to not be tempted to do anything that would prevent me from using it right away.
Embracing the retro "orange-ness" was my goal (can't change it, embrace it) . After all, it's easier than a reno and left me time to camp!
I have to admit, I am a little jealous of all the shiny exteriors and updated interiors.

We also live in WI, have a Jeep, and pull a 13' camper. We really enjoy our UHaul, and have never regretted purchasing it. You have a nice set up!
