New here - 1971 Landau

Hello everyone. I just got here, I have just brought home a 1971 Landau to restore. the interior is already done from previous owners. They have taken great care of her, but they are gone now and the grandkids took it out of storage and it is somewhat oxidized. My mechanic says she in fine shape. I knew the owners well, and I feel like there spirits are here with me. I will post pictures soon, I am looking for tips on cleaning, and such. I love rv communities and hope to hit the road next year. By the way, I'm a talker. Ha

It looks like you have a true vintage item there -- nearly 45 years old! I don't know if you'll find another Landau owner here, as there are mainly fiberglass travel trailer owners on this forum. But I'm sure you can get (and find) lots of advice on how to clean your fiberglass exterior, along with advice about appliances, sealing windows, plumbing, electrics... the whole shebang.

How many miles does your Landau have?

Looks pretty cool. Like a Travco? A motorhome with a fiberglass body on a Dodge chassis?

You might try digging through this site: dodgetravcos.com - Long Lasting Dodges

There is a lot of info here - those dodges have a venerable history.

Digigirl, if you are still around, would love to share. I have a 1971 Landau class A motorhome on International chassis, 2nd owner. less than 13K original miles. Interior all original, large rear bath, twin beds, orange shag carpet and upholstery, Harvest gold counter tops. What a hoot! Original owner was a firefighter, meticulous care but sadly inured, died and sat covered in his driveway for 20+ years, his daughter wanted it gone. We got[15 yrs ago] used a couple of times. Wanting to sell, my husband is disabled and I need it gone. Riverside, CA 92506
