New here from Vancouver Island

Hello Fiberglass RV fans,

My name is Thorsten from Vancouver Island and I like to introduce myself to the forum. I spend most of my weekends and spare time with camping. I love the freedom to stay where I want, meeting people and telling stories around a camp fire.

After years of looking for a brand new fiberglass travel trailer what is affordable to me ( under $18,000 ) I come up with the idea to build my own design of a fiberglass travel trailer which is solid build, durable, safe and cheap. Now I have my first ever build trailer done and I need some feedback on that.

Details to the trailer:

- 17' molded fiberglass shell
- 900kg weight ( will be changed to 700kg include 20 gallon freshwater )
- hydraulic brake ( future builds )
- queen bed and may be additional sleeping spot
- 2 burner, fridge, sink
- modern style alloy rims with full spare tire

Thank you very much for looking on my ad and to see what everyone thinks about this trailer. By giving me your feedback.

Thorsten

Beautiful workmanship! I LOVE the lounge chairs. Do tell us more details about it. How did you construct it? How many hours did it take? What was the most difficult part? What did it cost you?

Thank you very much and to answer your questions. The lounge chairs will be changed to a bench and a nice table what can be transformed to a additional bed and even the interior will be changed to a more durable modern look. I'm a German tradesman with over 30 years experience in manufacturing business. Start a design with a Cam system ( Solid works ) and it's takes a while to build it but time and money is not a big problem if you have a dream.

If I can find out there is a market for it the sell prize will be $14,999 what include 2 years on everything and 20 years against leaking.

If you plan to sell these, you need to explain why this trailer is differently better than any of the other trailers already on the market.
Is this actually a molded fiberglass trailer? It appears to be made from fiberglass panels on a frame ( like R-Pod ). You built a mold first to make this trailer? That's an expensive process.
Is there a shower/bath?
So many questions.

Love the sleek lines. Similiar shape to one I saw on Facebook today. http://roulotteantenate.forumfree.it/?t=66543274

leaking is correct sorry.

Glenn:

The mold was build first and it is a full fiberglass shell, no sheets or frame or anything else.

Shower/ bath will coming soon

There will be different to the trailer there already on the market.

1. hydraulic brake for more safety

2. aluminium frame

3. floorplan of your choice, you design we build

4. also you design the outside look ( example: ladybug, sunshine ) vehicle wraps & graphics

and all that is coming without extra cost.

Very nice looking trailer. Love the fender and the diagonal line. Much more like a teardrop than most eggs. That's 15000 Canadian?
