Hi all!
Honestly, having a little trouble getting things to post, so I'll give this a try.

Just picked up a 1965 Stewart 15' Royalex trailer, found this forum searching for info about this camper...

Boy, I don't know what that is and the Google isn't helping me.

Do you have photos?

I will post some photos asap, but it is a slightly smaller version of a Travel-eze Royal Traveler, such as the one in this post

https://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/...tml#post143543

...and ours actually looks just like this one https://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/...tml#post162450 only with a single axle and wheelwells for said axle - note the vents adjacent to the door for the fridge and heater, and the brown appliances. Our exterior could easily have been that color!

The Stewart logo is evident in a few places, and folklore has it that the Stewart coach company may have made some prototypes ahead of the US Rubber/Travel-eze partnership in '66-'67

There's the promise of plentiful info at this post http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...eze-43981.html
but the forum says I am not allowed to view it :/

From about 64 to 67, the US Rubber company entered a venture to produce a clamshell-style camper made of Royalex, which was an early form of ABS plastic with a foam core. Seems they sold the design to Travel-eze, who marketed it as the Royal Traveler, or possibly Roya-lite. As I've dug thru the internet, it seems the Stewart Coach Company might have done the prototypes for the design?

Interestingly enough, the Ford Motor Company also tried Royalex, presenting the Bordinat Cobra XP at the 65 Milan Auto Show!

Anyway, there's a few posts on here about 64 thru 66 Royal Travelers, but ours is a little smaller than the 18' campers shown. There's one post from 2010 or so with a unit very similar to ours, maybe 15' with a little different layout to the Travel-eze... https://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/...tml#post162450

Looks like the camper in these pictures had its (single axle) wheelwells filled in for some reason - I can't imagine it had tandem axles with 10" wheels in 1965!

We bought a Royalex canoe in the 1970's made by Old Town. We sold it in about 2015. Royalex was indestructible. It was a great boat.
