Been stopping by and reading posts for a few weeks now and joined yesterday. Living in So Cal and been camping for the last 30 years or so..tent camping but in luxury! Have a canvas Kodiak Tent sleeps 8 and is pretty much weather proof. It has served us well, but I recently started thinking that getting a used RV would be a good next step. Allowing me to travel and to camp along the way, to see and do things I just simply can't with a tent.

I am retired and have the time and ability to just leave and go. Would like to be able to "go" in cold weather..something a tent is not all that conducive to. After much research and visits to a number of RV dealers, I have pretty much decided on going with a fiberglass unit preferably small..sleeping up to 4 people. I am now actively seeking a used trailer and have been keeping up with your classified section.

I just purchased a new Toyota Tacoma Double Cab with a V6 and would appreciate any feedback positive or negative on this truck..it is equipped with the tow package.

I look forward to getting to know you and perhaps once I own one of these beauties..getting to actually meet some of you! Meanwhile, I'm here in So Cal biding my time and waiting for the right trailer at the right price tro show up.

Welcome to FiberglassRV Karen, we're glad you're here! Additionally, I'd suggest you monitor Molded Fiberglass Trailers | Fiberglass RV's For Sale. Most importantly... do NOT delay when seeing a molded fiberglass trailer you're very interested in. The closer we get to camping season the faster these trailers sell. Sometimes within mere moments of the ad being posted. And, I'm not kidding. Know what your needs/wants/budget is and be prepared to move quickly.

Good luck on your egg hunt!

Welcome! I haven't heard anything bad about the Tacoma v6, but plenty of good things. It will tow just about any egg quite well.

Thanks for the welcomes and the good advice from all. Keeping up on all the sources I know of for leads on a used "egg"..EBay, Craigs List and the Fiberglass RV classifieds, and the Facebook page. If you know of something else or somewhere else I should be looking speak up. Again thanks to all for the warm welcomes. Much appreciated!

If you're looking for a Casita: Casita Travel Trailer Forum -> Classifieds you may need to become a member to view the topic and definitely if you wish to post in the thread.

Same with this one: The Casita Club Forums -> Classifieds
