Hi there!
My wife and I are looking to purchase our first camper. We are interested in the fiberglass ones. We have been looking at the dealers in our area of Michigan and also on the various RV sale sites. We have yet to see a fiberglass that we could look at. We were wondering if we drove over to the Algonac State Park this weekend if anyone would be willing to let us take a peak at your home on wheels and maybe give us some pointers on must haves and such.

Have you found www.fiberglass-rv-4sale.com?

Very, very few molded fiberglass trailers make it into dealer inventory and/or large commercial RV sites like RVTrader.com. Most are sold on Craigslist or specialty sites like this one and the other I linked. More than a few never even make it onto the internet, just a "for sale" sign in the driveway. That's how I got mine.

Attending a rally is a great way to get started. There should be a thread for Algonac in the rally section. I'd recommend reaching out to the event host about making a visit.

Welcome

To the forums. It can take awhile to find just the right trailer. Hang out here because every week there are a half dozen trailers for sale by our members. There are a lot of brands / models as well as old / new.

Know that due to Covid, prices are up. Be patient.

And again, welcome to the forums.

Thank you! It seems the fiberglass are a hot commodity. We know we will find it when we are suppose to.

Keith, definitely check out Algonac State Park this Saturday. First view the 2021 Egg Glassic thread on this forum. It includes a list of what trailers are there and on which sites. We would be there but had to bow out.

Here is the thread:

Sounds like a solid choice. Vintage units can need regular tender loving care.
