New member here-Scamp owner

Hey, I just joined the forum after buying a 2000 Scamp 13 2 days ago. It's in great shape cosmetically and everything works. We love it! But I did notice a few drops of rain coming in the front and rear solid pexiglass windows. In the process of searching this forum now to figure out how to repair it.

That's my wife in the picture enjoying the new camper. I was in the process of restoring an older camper when we bought this one. I'm still gonna finish it, but I can take my sweeeeet time now! LOL

Welcome Ronnie
Nice trailer. Is there a gap in the rubber gasket at the bottom of the front and rear window? Sometimes you can put a little sealant in the crack to stop the leak. If the rubber has splits in it or cracking you will have to replace the gaskets. You need aboout 25 ft of gasket and locking strip to do both windows. Scamp sell both items. You will also need a locling strip tool and there is a Youtube video showing the replacement of a Boler window.

Hi Ronnie!

Here is an article you will enjoy...
A Baja with a little extra "South of the Border" flavor

I want to see more pictures of the Sprite too!

Thank you for the warm welcome and all the helpful information everyone! Kootenaigirl, what kind of older camper do you have?

I would post some pictures of the interior of the oldie but I just gutted out the rear portion to replace all the rotten wood. In the last month or so I have managed to repair the roof and stop all the leaks. It was horrible with holes in the roof, but it's at least dry now until I can get through remodeling.

Roger that is sooooo impressive! The editing is fantastic and you managed to only include pictures in focus! And I love how you slid from stills into video!

What equipment did you use?

Pant, pant, pant... Ronnie... I was CAMPING. Check the area where the two pieces of gasket come together. If there's a gap, leakage occurs. You can seal it up with black windshield caulk (I've done that!).

Will do! Right now I have a piece of eternabond tape over it to stop the leak. It's unsightly that way, but functional! We are taking our maiden camping voyage this afternoon after we get off work! When we get back from camping I plan on picking up some sealant.
Thank you for the help Donna! I see your posts everywhere helping others! That's awfully generous of you!

Your wife reminds me of Heather Locklear, the pretty actress on the Melrose Place series years back. So the best greeting is always a compliment, welcome to the forum.
