Hi all, My wife and I are the 'new' owners of a 2004
Scamp 13'. It has an
awning, screen door and double LP tanks and a TV antenna. Otherwise stock. The interior is quite good, it had a small leak that left slight staining above the sink....fixed it already. This one is sound but still needs a little 'fixin'. I have replaced the
battery and put on a new front jack with a wheel. The finish is chalking badly and we have scrubbed it with the recommended Bar Keepers Friend. I'm not sure I will go the 'floor sealer' route or not. I checked at Lowes and the one near me does not carry the "Red Max Pro' any more. They now carry one called Zep. I don't know how that compares with the Red Max. We will add a
microwave and possibly convert to a bathroom....someday, maybe.
I have to tell you how this all came about. We had talked for a year about getting a small trailer again, one that could be pulled easily by our 2012 Grand Caravan. We will take it to FL, where we winter, and use it for many 'small' trips in both FL and MI. I had about given up on finding one within a reasonable distance and was starting to draw up plans for building my own. It would have been a fun project for me but when my wife saw that I was serious about it she started looking on Craigs List and found this one almost instantly and only 45 miles from us! I guess we were supposed to have it. I still want to build one....

I have been looking at this site on and off for several months and really appreciate the way you folks respond to questions and freely share
information. We are retired and have had several trailers through
the years. Our first trailer many years ago was also a 13'
Scamp but it was old and needed tons of TLC. This one will be a snap.
I have many questions but will ask in the appropriate forums.
