New member. Looking for 17 to 19 foot camper

Hi, I am Sam. New to forums; not sure this is going through. I live in southwestern Colorado, and I'm looking for a fiberglass body camper, 17 to 19 ft long, such as a Scamp, Casita, Escape, or other reputable camper. I'm just beginning my search, and I'm not familiar with many brands that I'm sure would be just fine. Thank you.

You might also want to join other forums which have emphasis on singular brands.
Also do a little research on the rally segment of this site and you will see there’s a rally west of Fort Collins in July which will have a number of fiberglass campers of various makes, sizes and ages. These is tent camping at this campground if you don’t have a camper and a good opportunity to look at and learn about fiberglass units.

Thank you, Dave,

That's helpful. I will look into the July event near Fort Collins, and I'll definitely check forums for specific brands. Sam.

If you are ever in Colorado Springs I have a 17ft Casita you could look at. It's not for sale but you may take a look.

Thank you for the offer. I may take you up on that late summer when I'm up that way. Sam

Dramatically different floorplans and layouts between brands and sizes. Nothing beats a rally to introduce you to several brands at one time.

As far as Escape, they are newer to the FG trailer business. You should expect to pay more, sometimes a lot more for one compared to the Scamps and Casitas out there. We went from an older 17 foot Casita (1996) to a newer 2013 Escape 19. Cost about 3X the money for those two feet and 17 years newer.

No molded FG trailer brand is very common on the used market. But Escape being newer to the business is a lot less common than Scamp and Casita.

Thanks, Bill,

I've begun to discover your point about the Escape being a bit more expensive. I've yet to see the inside of a Scamp, but my favorite floor plan so far is the Casita Spirit Deluxe, which I have seen. I will certainly begin looking for rally's near enough to my area in SW Colorado. Sam

Bed size, separate dinette size, bathroom, critical appliances, storage, interior height, size versus your place to store, tow vehicle limitations, budget limitations,, etc. lots to consider
