New Members here

Hi,
My husband Jim, and I now have a 13' Scamp.
I think we are doing this backwards...most people start out young and in small campers....we've had a couple of motorhomes and an Award camper...but are downsizing. We needed something light to tow behind the 1949 Hudson.
Hope to make it to one of the meets sometime. No spots available in Sebring, FL so will be looking for the next one.

Carol & Jim, welcome to the land of figerglassRV & 13' Scamps. Paula & I have been proud owners of two (different floor plans) 13' Scamps over the last 25 years and love them. We too have down-sized from a Toy-hauler that held our Jeep/Hobby in between the 2 Scamps....a year from now you will either become even closer or going back to the motorhome to pull the vintage tin.
Happy Trails
Dave & Paula

Welcome and enjoy your new egg.

Went from 38 ft motor home back to tent and up to a 13 ft. Scamp. Over time needs and conditions change. Not to mention gas prices!

Carol and Jim,
We started in a motorhome. Fortunately it wasn't suited for a cross Labrador trip so we bought a used small trailer, just for2 months I promised. After the Cross Labrador we laughed at how much fun it was and kept going 8 more months making a loop of the USA. After that we were hooked and sold the motorhome. Now delightfully happy in our Scamp.

down sizing

Glad to hear we arn't the only ones moving into closer quarters. We were over the road truckers for 15 years and cant get much smaller than one of those sleepers.
We've only done a few short trips in the Scamp but were comfortable. Bathroom and no shower but most of the places we travel to in VA,NY and VT are friends and family and are welcome to use theirs....and there are always truckstops...or campgrounds. We are members of Passport America and the membership has more than paid for itself with the half price sites.
We need to get an awning for our Scamp (I may make one) ...after that we should be fine.
NH was homebase for many years...glad we have moved south.

How cool for you Carol! I work for an international transportation company. If you were comfortable in a sleeper, the Scamp will be perfect.

Make a ton of memories along the way
