New Old Trillium Owners

Greetings! We recently acquired a 1977 Trillium 1300 and pulled it 600 miles home (NE OHIO). It's pretty much original except for a frame replacement in 2006, and needs lots of TLC, which we are about to start. It's our first egg, but we are counting on our experience maintaining a 30 foot fiberglass sailboat and the wonderful advise from you members of this forum to guide us! We will also watch for events and rallies in our neck of the woods.

You could probably teach US a thing or two as well.

LOL. Well "We" would include my wife Connie. I'll try to get some pics up of "As Of Yet Un-named" as soon as I figure out how to do it! This week we hope to move it to a warehouse if I can figure a way to get it up to loading dock height. I may have to hire a flat bed tow truck to lift it to dock height so we can push it in. I've got a chain hoist that should allow us to lift the body off the frame for a frame-off restoration.

I too just bought a new-to-me trillium 1978 4500. The frame shows lots of rust and I would like to learn how to remove the frame for restoration ....

Look forward to your project and mine.

Freddo,

I just got a quote on a Trillium 4500 frame from the factory. Take a look at the following thread.

Very interesting thread. Thanks for the pointer.

I am concerned about the condition of my 30 year old frame/axle etc. I very much hope I dont' need to do a full replacement.

Hi, Bob! Good luck fixing up your Trillium. They, like most of these little campers, are cosy & fun to fix up. Well, maybe not always fun, but you know what I mean... Some pics would be nice!
