Hi all,
My name is David and I bought a 1988
Scamp 13 with the forward bunks configuration. The trailer is in overall good shape, has new upholstery and was spruced up a bit by the previous owners. Overall this is a big step up from the tiny reverse teardrop we are coming from.
Of course I got the trailer home and hauled the wheels off to get new ones put on and find that my beautiful barely rusty frame is cracked nearly in half where the
axle was welded on

Not good, especially since we are leaving Maine to Florida in about a week! Luckily I had some heavy angle stock laying around so after grinding off the
axle and welding a 2 foot section on each side to reinforce the frame and then welding the
axle back on we might actually make it to FL.
I guess this should teach me not to buy a used trailer about 10 days before a trip but no matter, got to keep things interesting right?
David
