New Scamp (me, not the Scamp) owner

Just introducing myself as a Scamp (first fiberglass camper) owner. I have a 13', think its an 81, still brushing through old paint to get to the serial #'s. This unit needs some refurbishing and lots of tlc. The floor under counter needs replacing and the front interior supports for the bunk and lower seat. All the hardware has a rust coat as it was closed up with dampness for years. It was sitting idle in New Brunswick for many years and now will be brought back to excellent condition here in northern Maine. I'm no craftsman by any stretch of the imagination, but have restored 2 Scotties, one Argosy and one Avalair. I hope I can reach out to all of you for advice. Without such sites my previous restores would never have been possible.

Hi Dan, welcome to FiberglassRV. I responded to your post over on Facebook... I was the one that mentioned what I thought was damage to the front fiberglass portion around the frame and thought maybe the axle was a low-rider!

Dan, I have a 1991 Scamp 16 and our son has a 1977 Scamp 13. I have made a number of modifications to his trailer and ours. The modifications to ours can be seen under Modifications/Preparing a 1991 Scamp. We live on the NH seacoast. If you're planning to come to NH just PM me and I'll give you the address.

Right now we're in FL, heading west. We plan to drive thru Main this spring on our way to Newfoundland.
