Hi all,
Been reading the useful info on this site for the past few weeks. Going on a roadtrip with my brother this weekend to pick up my "new" gutted
Amerigo F16. I'll post some pics of my new project trailer in the brand forum.
I previously owned an Apache Mesa that is now being loved by another family who also appreciates its vintage history. I currently own a small Cox
Cadet tent camper that I renovated over the past couple years: tore the guts out of it, put in new floor and inside sidewalls, and had a new road cover and canvas made. It's a keeper. Attached are pics of these campers.
I also want a travel trailer that doesn't require the setup conniptions of a popup. I wanted an already gutted trailer to avoid that work, to be able to see the inside walls and to set it up inside as needed. After looking at a variety of options I decided to try a
fiberglass trailer mainly because of the
weight. I didn't want to have to purchase a big tow vehicle. I found a gutted one that already has the floor replaced and is touted travel ready. I am buying this one on faith, hoping it can handle the tow home. Time for an adventure... Oh heck, it's ONLY a 700 mile round trip, what could happen?
Looking forward to coming to a
rally in the future,
Pam
