New, (Used), Egg Owner
Hi, we just purchased a 2014 Egg Camper from a great guy in Michigan and have it home in our driveway. The experience so far has been great. We love the simple and straight forward design design. The layout is great for our situation. Just need to personalize it a little to make it feel like our own.
As a retired engineer I saw a couple of minor additions which I believe will make it helpfull.
A switch to connect/disconnect the 12 volt fridge would be helpfull. That way the fuse doesn't need to be pulled to keep the battery from draining in storage.
Also, a battery monitor may be a good addition.
The JP Products latches are troublesome as we had on break on the way home. That will be a future project.
Looking forward to happy camping. Bill and June

Congratulations on your purchase. Sounds like you are already having fun. As they say down south "keep it between the ditches" and good luck.

Dear Bill and June,
Welcome! You will learn so much here from these great folks!
I, too, have an EggCamper and adore it. . . I would love to make some little adjustments to it, but just haven't gotten to it yet.
If you search the site, you will find a lot of projects on an EggCamper, entitled "Joe's EggCamper Journal" which you will find very interesting and informative.
Best of times and fun with your EggCamper!
I need to change my signature, as we lost our wonderful and much-loved Abel dog last November to hemangiosarcoma. . .

Egg Camper Minor Mods Round #1
Here is the first modification to add a battery monitor and 12 V switch to shutoff the fridge while integrating the two existing switches, HW heater and water pump, into the same grouping. I will be installing it before our first outing on Memorial Day. Updated pictures to follow.

Congrats! We purchased ours last summer and love it! We put shelfs inside the storage closet and made some curtains, other than that we roll down the road with it.
you will love it. Also if this is your first egg of any sort you will get asked a lot of questions while camping. My favorite is "who makes it?"....I always point to the side of the EggCamper......EggCamper.com :-) My next is when they step inside and can stand up all the way :-)
Also your pics are all upside-down and sideways....FYI :-)

Hey Bill & June, Even after purchasing an Escape 21', we couldn't part with our little 2010 EggCamper! So we are now a two egg family.

Next Major Mod, New Fridge
We have been using our Egg Camper for a little over a year and have not been happy with the Norcold fridge. It marginally maintains temperature and is a little small for our needs. We had a great previous experience with a compressor Dometic is our last truck camper. So, why not install one in the Egg? The new fridge is only slightly larger than to Norcold but that required some mods. The shelf that the fridge sits on does not allow any air circulation under it which the Dometic required. Made a new one from Baltic Birch which was a big upgrade from the stock flake board one. Added a vent underneath and on the side near top and it works fantastically!

Last mod for a while
Got things pretty much the way we want it now so time to go camping! Here are the cubby holes installed in the closet, will use them as a wardrobe. Note that you must make the lower shelf removable in order to be able to get the spare tire out. Also added a holder for flashlight and bear spray!
