Newb from Antelope Valley, CA

Hello all,
Just wanted to introduce myself/ask a few questions.. My name is Jennifer, I live in the Antelope Valley, and I just bought a 1984 13' Scamp (yaaay!) I am currently in the resto process, just ordered "stuff" from Scamp but am wondering where I can get used parts for the fridge that is in there, it has the 211B and it needs a new front door and the ice area door as well. I called Dometic already with no luck . Any ideas where I can get these items? Thanks to you all.....great site!

Hi Jennifer. Dometic stop producing the 211 a number of years ago. I have the same model. You might check RV Doctor George or maybe an RV Salvage yard in your area. Check this link for more info: RV Salvage Yards in this thread

IF, you don't care if you have a 3-way, you can change out to an icebox only or (as some have done) a dorm-style all electric refrigerator. You can get one on sale for <$100.

Hi: JenLaddo... Here's a link to our local fridge tech www.gammonsrv.com educational if nothing else. I broke the temp control knob and the door lock as well on our Dometic Rm211. He had a bunch of used ones so I got them for a couple of bucks each.
I know they're up here in Canada on the North shore of Lake Erie but S&H might not be to bad!!!
