Newbie from Washinton
Hello everyone! I have been following this site for quite a while now, and decided to join as I become serious in my search. At this point I kind of have my mind set upon something similar to a Hunter Compact ii. As I'm 6'3" and the extra head room is welcome. But won't hesitate to jump on a deal for something else. Looking forward to getting into the fiberglass rv world!

immrbill howdy from a DC born and raised (at least thru kindergarten) also. Enjoying those cherry blossoms? They never coincide with the park Service predictions!

Hi, Mitzi...
East side of Washington means the other side of the Cascade Mountain Range--I THINK. Still Washington State. Just the DRY side. (Drier, anyway)
I don't think Bill is from DC...darn the people who let "states" use the same names!
Confuses the heck out of folks like ME.

Thanks for the tips everyone, and I have been in contact about that Trailswest for sale in Washington. But won't be able to see it for a week and a half because I'm down doing some canyoning in Arizona/Utah right now lol. Will probably sell before then, but if not i will check it out.

If you do get that Campster it does have the potential to make a new popup fabric that will be just tall enough to clear your head. You can't go much higher than just barely clearing your head though without revising the support system for the popup. The wider the width of the X bracing is the more stable the support structure. The taller you go the narrower the X becomes and the stability in strong winds decreases.

Welcome, Shane!
You are what we call "height-challenged" around here. Not easy finding full stand-up headroom in the smaller trailers. The good news is that it doesn't matter that much because there is no place to walk around- two steps takes you from the door to anywhere in the trailer- and most activities inside are not done standing straight up.
One thing that does require full stretch out room is sleeping. You sure don't want to sleep with your knees bent! I would pay at least as much attention to bed size as interior height.
Best wishes in your "egg hunt"!

Very true, but would like to have enough to stand up straight while cooking or hiding out from the rain. Definitely not set on any particular brand, so thanks for the suggestions! But I'm not looking to drop more than 3-4k initially. I'm a 23 yo and don't quite have a spare 10k at this time. lol

Then the Campster up on Whidbey is likely a good starter trailer for you. You can build in some sweat equity and upgrade later on if desired. If you need help with figuring out how to create a new pop up canvas I can advise on that. I am in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle and I made new canvas for my Campster this last fall.
