OK... I have finally arrived!

Greetings,

I am Don from NC and my wife's name is Christa. We just acquired a 2014 Lil Snoozy. We have been keeping our eye out for about a year, following FiberglassRV, and were preparing to buy new until this opportunity popped up.

I am an Amateur Radio Operator, thus my callsign after my name.

We have previously owned a class c, 20' trailer, tent trailer and tents. We think the Lil Snoozy is going to be perfect for the two of us (kids grown and gone)and look forward to the experience.

Don

I'm about 30-40 miles north of you in NC. Would love the the Snoozy sometime.

I'm leaving on Wednesday to get my Scamp in Backus, MN!
Check out this thread about my intent to run portable HF in the camper.

Greetings from WW0LF in Golden CO. I'm sure you will enjoy your new toy. Get some antennas mounted quickly.

I would love to see a Lil Snoozy at a rally or campground. Seeing how you put a ham shack in it would even be more interesting. ☺

Where are you from? I am lucky enough to live 60 miles from Scamp so I was there on Thursday to buy parts for my Reno of really old 1965 cloud. They are so friendly and nice there! Got a mini tour of the factory. Being a single woman, they were extremely patient with me! And very encouraging even though I don't own a Scamp! Told them that I had gotten a little static about towing it with a classic car but he laughed and said they pick them up with Geos even!

Jeanie,

Who were asking about their location?

Driving to the Scamp factory from the Kansas City metro area was a little bit of a drive. 😉

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. We will be at the rally in Cherokee, NC Oct 15-18. I won't have the HF radio in by then but will be bringing the 2 meter handheld for some contacts.

Welcome Don! We'll be at the Cherokee rally also. I'll be sure to bring my handheld as well. We'll be bringing our 89 Bigfoot 17G. But, I also picked up a Compact II that I'm rebuilding and am planning to make it my shack. 73 KK4QHE
