[Clueless]

Hi ... I'm clueless, my handle, just purchased a 1989 Bigfoot 11.5 camper.
Limited instructions even though had less sophisticated campers before.

I refuse to call anyone clueless who at least knows what they don’t know and is willing to receive instruction! Don’t be so hard on yourself. Like you, I always had very simple RVs (like our Scamp). Then I acquired a hand-me-down Class B. Talk about complicated! Still learning.

This forum is actually about molded fiberglass trailers, so you may find a shortage of specific technical knowledge of how your slide-in camper is laid out. But the basic construction and systems are similar, so you should be able to get general information about operating and troubleshooting RV systems to get you started.

My understanding is that Bigfoot and Northern Lite slide-in campers are constructed much like molded fiberglass trailers, minus the frame and axle. I think they’re a good fit on this website.

I would love to have one so I could take both my camper and boat along. However, the boss won’t entertain sleeping above the cab and I would also need a truck. Not in the cards for the foreseeable future. Also, I do like to be able to disconnect from the TV so we can travel around the area where we’re camping.
