One more newbie

Good morning,

It seems strange to be a newb when you encompass most of six decades. I returned to school two and a half years ago to get my Masters degree so I could teach part time at a community college. My wife teaches high school and we should have enough time now to adventure a bit. Our plan is to purchase a used Tundra and a smaller trailer for long weekends, travel to see grand babies, exploring our NW, etc.

It would be nice to have a queen bed always set up without the need to continually convert a dinette and so I've been perusing floor plans to get ideas. I am pleased to see the wealth of information here. While I may not be a prolific poster, I'm not afraid to ask stupid questions either. Looking forward to more browsing. Thanks.

A queen bed plus a dinette... the Escape 19 and Lil Snoozy come to mind. Happy shopping!

Mark, welcome! I 2nd the Lil Snoozy. I had the opportunity to peruse one at the Poconos rally. It was very well made, and had WAY more room inside than my Scamp 13. WAY more room! I am just about convinced that it will be my next trailer... But since we are getting ready to buy a house, it will have to sit on the back burner for a while.

Thanks all for your comments. I was hoping to generate some ideas. Alf, there appears to be fungus on the third toe of the left foot.

Just kidding.

I agree, taking the dinette up and down would be a drag.

I'm pulling out the gaucho (mini built in bench seat) on my trillium and building a mini dinette from scratch.

Good luck finding the perfect trailer for you. If you don't find it, build it!
