Oh, and I will start a thread, heading to new York and Vermont for two weeks soon towing the 5500 with a green Toyota tundra.

Congrats for your 5500!
Boy did I looked at it in the classifieds!
Even exchanged a couple emails with the seller.
When I saw it was gone I wish I'd bought it!
But it looks in good hands now.
I hope this trailer is as nice as it looked in the pictures. Real beauty.
I'll keep an eye on your posts on this forum for sure!

For us, this 5500 came on the market a little too early. In 2-3 years from now our daugther won't be following anymore. The popup will eventually go and probably be replaced with something like a 5500, that is if I can find one... I'll be patient !

Happy camping !!

Hey all.

Camping update. Camped at higley flow camp ground new York for two nights, and this is our fourth night in lake George escape. Have not seen one fiberglass since we left Ottawa!

Heading to fort Ticonderoga tomorrow and then to Burlington Vermont. 5500 is getting tons of attention and people chatting at the gas stations.

Hope to see you

Green Toyota pullin the 5500

Hey thanks Carl

It was the first time I had been near a 5500 that was for sale so I packed up the kids and went right away. The seller had people coming from all over to look at it! We're very happy with it. Of course after 9 days on the road with it it's not hard to find little projects to do, but it is 32 years old!

Hope you find one when your ready

Curtis
