Replace vent fan unit

Looks like I will have to replace my vent fan unit. PO only had the flip back lid....no crank, no screen. Got an estimate of $225 from RV shop, which includes the unit....anyone ever replaced this? What's a good sealant to use if I try this? Have to seal every head on the roof lip.......or should I just have it done professionally? I have questionable tool talents......thanks.
