You're probably right about that. I figure with 13' though, I can't possibly overload it, right?

But the extra bottle of wine? Now that's where I would probably tack on a lot of weight. More like an extra case.

I totally know that scene! Hilarious. And thanks for passing on your experiences and pics of your Legacy sedan with the Scamp. Nice setup.

I was thinking of trying out the tow, but it looks like the jury is still out. WHile possibly the jetta can handle the tow, it wasn't originally designed for it, and may not be the best choice. I have to do some serious discussion with my German VW mechanic and see if he thinks it's a good idea.

As to the location of the brake box on our Subaru Legacy. There was no other location to place the box other than beside/beneath the steering column because the driver's area is tightly packed with other equipment. For other autos there may be other places where it can be placed.

We like to cycle (road bikes) have a dog carrier for biking, hike, take pictures and draw; nice to have a portable cottage
