Retirement beckons

We are on the doorstep of some long awaited travel time in retirement this summer. We've been guests on this site and have appreciated so much of the collected wisdom shared by others.
Looking at scamps and taking seriously all of the towing advice. I don't think we're going to bother putting a hitch on our2003 lesabre or 2002 civic...

LOL... So maybe take one of the two with a tent (or a credit card for a motel) and visit a rally or two this season. Seeing some at first hand and talking to the owners is always a good thing.

If you have already made up your mind on Scamp, you could even get an order in for a fall/winter build date. Their change/cancellation policy is very accommodating. As you see some different configurations at first hand, you can make changes right up until they start building yours. Or even cancel if you run across a nice used one or decide a different brand is better for you.

If you act soon you might get set up in time for some winter travel in... how about Arizona? February 2015 at Lost Dutchman State Park near Phoenix:

Great to have you finally post..... welcome to the FGRV family. We retired a couple years ago this month, and are really enjoying 6 saturdays and one sunday a week. I still try to cram way too many things to see during our travels with self induced time constraints, so I am trying to learn to just travel a couple hours a day, and smell the roses....so far it isn't working
Happy Trails.

Good evening Don, You might want to consider this event that DW and I are hosting in Door county. Mostly Scamps and Casitas, but 7 others brands as well. You would also meet a lot of folks who meet up in the Midwest. PM me for our phone number if you like, trailer tours on Saturday, June 11th, 10 AM

Thanks for your well wishes

We'll already be on the road June 8-12 with tent and trusty Coleman 2 burner, but if that plan changes, the Egg Harbor gathering will be plan B.
Thanks, Don
