Scamp renovation

Hi,

My name is Nicole and I’m new to the Scamp world. Having acquired a 1984 Scamp 13’ a couple months ago, I have some questions. The Scamp had been spray painted and I am in the process of sanding all paint from the trailer. My first question is do I prime and spray a gel coat or do I use a marine paint? I will attach pics of before and current situation… Any comments and/or suggestions are appreciated! Thank you in advance!!

Good questions... i'm interested in refreshing mine one day and i was wondering if gel coat was the answer.

I’m leaning towards gel coat because the fiberglass seems so thin in areas that I’ve had to sand off the camo spray paint. Of course, it’s a 1984 trailer as well, so might be the best choice overall…
