Soon to be trailer owners

At age 56 the wife and I have decided to put the tent away and get a trailer! We are looking at a Trillium 4500 or a Trillium Jubilee. Hope to have a purchase at the end of march when our house sells. Will post pics in April if all goes as planned. This site is great.

Welcome to the website and the wonderful world of fiberglass RVing! My husband and I purchased our new 13' Scamp in 2011 at ages 64 and 60 respectively (when I joined him in retirement) and never looked back. We have had so much fun taking extended vacations without the hassles associate with setting up and taking down a tent in inclement weather. Are you planning on full-timing after your house sells?

We are moving, one house to another and will have enough dough to buy a trailer, something I,ve always wanted. Always loved the eggs.

You've done well to wait until you're 56 before you upgrade from a tent! Joyce & I did that in our 30's already. A small Fibreglass trailer is always a good choice. Good luck in your search!

I think a Trillium 4500 is good idea. Obviously.

I get the impression that you already have a line on both a 4500 and a Jubilee. Are they currently owned by the same person?

If you are planning on traveling/vacationing in this trailer, the little eggs are great (I have a 13' Burro.) I saw someone asking whether you are planning on "Full timing" in it though, and would have to question whether either Trillium would be big enough for a full time home. Like the old saying goes, "It seemed like a good idea at the time!" Regardless, good luck and enjoy your new degree of freedom.

Regards,
Froggie
