Hi, I actually joined last year but this is my first post. I've uploaded photos of my 1981 Burro. I am the original owner except for the first 3 years that my parents owned it. They moved on to a larger RV and the Burro has been mine ever since. The last couple of years I have been adding improvements. I have researched on this forum and it has been very helpful and inspiring. Each year for my birthday, I take the Burro by myself for a few days and spend time alone. Not far from where I live. The rules are NO VISITORS. I take my dog. I read, I sew, I take walks. I enjoy ! So each year before my adventure, I work on the trailer and add a few more upgrades.

Thank you Tom. I added a link in my post to my album. I hope I did it correctly.

Hi Jaydeen, we're glad you finally decided to pop in and say HI! Cool screen room, I bet it really adds to the total living space.

How neato is that, a trailer that's been all-in-the family since new!

I like to spend my BD just like you... peace and quiet!

How do you keep that cute lamp from swinging around while you are under way? Why only treat yourself once a year? I think you should run away at least once a month. :c)

I just take the lamp off the hook when traveling and lay it in a padded bin.

Only once a year by myself as my birthday gift to myself, the rest of the time my husband goes.

I love the coordinated decor. How do you attach the little plates between the cupboard doors above the range? Great idea to use caning for the front of the doors as fiberglass RVs need the indoor ventilation.

I love your decor, especially the kitchen area with the mounted plates and curio cabinet. So cute!

Thank you Gilda,

The plates are just attached with that blue tacki stuff. As far as the cabinet doors with the caning, I have to give my mom credit. She made all of the cabinet doors when she first bought the Burro in 1981.

We use the screen room when my husband goes camping with me. He's 6'4" and this gives him the ability to stand up straight. Years ago we would both sleep inside, but now he puts an air mattress in the add-a-room and it works out great. I get the inside to myself !

Really nice trailer, Jaydeen. Your cupboard doors are fabulous and I imagine a lot less weight than full wood. As our goal is to keep our 1975 Boler under 1500 lbs fully loaded your photos have been added to my list of possible future renovations/modifications. Thanks.

Thanks so much. My mother made all the cupboard doors back in '81. Not only helps with weight but also ventilation and I still love them. I will never change that part of the trailer.
