Hi, I am Susan from Ottawa, Ontario and we just purchased a 1977 Triple E Surf Side Tm 14. Structurally, it appears to be quite sound so I think I’ll be here mainly for suggestions regarding cosmetic updates. Im so happy to know that this resource is here!

Is it a front kitchen version, or side kitchen?

It’s the version with the side kitchen.

That has a wood interior. The front kitchen is fibreglass on the inside.

Would that put the weight substantially over 1,000lbs? The person we bought the Surf Side from listed the weight as 975lbs but that doesn’t make sense with a wood interior.

It’s nowhere near 975 lbs.- of that I am sure- and it has nothing to do with wood vs. fiberglass. Are you sure they didn’t mean kg? I’d expect around 1700-1800 lbs. unloaded weight for a Surfside, and around 2000-2200# loaded.
