The Beginning

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Nathan Henry from British Columbia, Canada. I'm 28 and work in automotive collision.

I bought a 1975 Boler last summer for $700, its pretty run down and needs plenty of work.

The previous owner before me found her on a farm in Alberta Canada. Apparently the original owners used the Boler as a coffee shack, until they finally parked her on a farm and it became a fort for the local neighborhood children. At one point during some house renos a backhoe was dropped on the back hull, leaving a nice fracture along the roof. It looks like they did a quick repair which prevented any major sagging. Then she was whisked away to British Columbia.

I've already started some of the gutting last summer, i'll post my progress in the modification section once I get those photos uploaded.

As she stands I dont think shes in too bad of shape, the hull is straight minus the crack in the back, a little bit of overspray, floor needs some resupporting, but fiberglass is all pretty strong and intact. It will need new wiring and piping. The Trailer has a small kink in the right rail behind the tongue, easy repair, unless I decide to replace the whole trailer.

Without further ado here is my beauty.

Hi Nathan, welcome to FiberglassRV. We're glad you're here

Thanks for posting the pictures, we love pics.

Just remember, when talking about all molded trailers and rot... there is NOTHING called a small leak. Leaks of any kind can lead to major work... especially at the floor if not dealt with in a timely manner.

Looking forward to the rehab!

It is so great to see another FG egg pulled back from the brink and loved. Keep up the good work and it will reward you with happy camping memories.

I'm always so awstruck at the magic that FG owners can work on these little 'eggs in the ruff'. Will be reading your future posts with great interest!
