Tour a Casita

Hi all,
I am Ellie, new to the site and looking to make a travel trailer purchase. Trying to narrow down which brand of fiberglass trailer will fit our needs. At present I would love to see a Casita Spirit Deluxe in the flesh....without having to fly to Texas. I have reached out to Casita about owners in the area (Philadelphia PA) willing to give a tour but haven't heard back. I feel like there may not be many Casita's on the east coast. I would also be interested in seeing a Scamp 16' or an Escape 17'. If anyone knows anyone in the Philadelphia area or has any ideas about how I may see a fiberglass trailer in the 17' range, I would welcome your input. Thanks everyone!

There are lots of Casita's on the East coast. You might try the Casita Travel Trailer forum.....ask your question over there. Lots of good folks.

Also reach out to casita for the See-a-Casita program, we got an email with a contact within a week.

Rallies are a good Place to view multiple brands of Trailers. Some folks just come in for a day, others camp in a tent or minivan. Some stay in a nearby motel. There’s a listing of rallies on this form and other forums too.

As far as quality and what the best trailers are IMO would be Escape (which I believe are more expensive but of good quality) then Casita and last would be Scamp. We have a Casita and have had it new since 2007. It has been a good trailer. We have heard of a lot of problems with Scamp and they have several things that I would not like such as having a pump to put the sink water into the holding tank, etc. These things have been on this forum over the years. None of the fiberglass trailers are inexpensive but hold their value over a stick built.

There is a rally in NH in May that has several small fiberglass RV’s there. In my opinion, the best are Oliver, then Escape, then Casita, then Scamp. The first two are very expensive and hard to find used. The Casita has the best value and you can find them used. We happen to have a 2022 Casita Standard for sale in Vermont.
