Placed a fixed 7 blade socket on my car and also on the trailer, now using brakes and also car alternator for charging batteries. Also have a socket extension for connecting vehicle to trailer.

Being someone who goes for restores that are as close to factory as possible, I have watched this thread with some interest. The final result looks great, but I have one question. How much does your 4500 weigh now?

I am also interested in its weight now?, but also importantly how is the weight distributed high to lo and left to right front to back?

Have not checked , but did do my first outing 300km and did not seem bad at all. Had to tell because now I have electric brakes. But gas mileage is the same 13.4litres to 100km Cadillac srx4. I will be weighing it in next week. So will be able to give you info.

I will certainly come back with total trailer weigh (load and unload) and also tongue weigh. I was very care in weigh distribution when build this trailer so I think not load it should be well balanced keeping in mind that I wanted 15 to 20 % of total weigh on tongue. I estimate that I am around 2000 lbs but will know next week.

On my first test trip (600 km) I received a couple of rocks that chipped the paint so I decided to get a rock guard to prevent further damage.
2 aluminum plates.

So after all my renovations Caddy Shack weight in was 2220lbs fully loaded ready to go but water and black tank empty. I have 200lbs on the tongue which is just under 10% . Brakes on trailer work great and car alternator and solar panel run easy the 110v fridge on inverter. I guess I am ready to go.

Thank you Karen!! and yes it is a major attraction, I was at the 50th Anniversary for Bolers in Winnipeg and many visited on the open door day, and were very impressed with the overall completion. But the highlight in the trailer for ladies was the washroom with shower and for men it was the pop up tv and bed size.

Well started taking things apart in my trillium in planification for 2019, the major issue was making the bed every night and pallet wood countertop which was not to practical. Well today I received my roll bed aluminum frame.
Here is what the frame looks like.

Just want to thank you for sharing your work! You are obviously fearless when it comes to design and it’s been inspirational to see all the choices you’ve made. Your plumbing/electrical/carpentry work is off the charts.

One feature I certainly want to borrow from you is the shiny tank covers sitting on the tongue of the trailer. The old propane tanks and battery on my Trillium 4500 look a little weathered and messy sitting out there — would be awesome to have them encased as you have done.
