Tripple e surfside reno. in Winnipeg
Hi there from Winnipeg,
My name is Jamie and I'm getting started on a reno. to a 1974 Tripple e surfside. I was wondering if anyone out there might have a lead on a good (reasonably priced) upholsterer in the Winnipeg area. I scored some material for $ 12 / yard (it seemed like a good deal).
Thanks !

Hi Jamie, welcome to FiberglassRV. I'm a long way from Winnipeg so I can't help you on the upholstery question. But wanted to welcome you, lots of friendly helpful people here

Hi Jamie, are you close to/do you know any car people in Winterpeg??
They often know people who do upholstry work. I have been away from the 'Peg for too long now to recommend and 'stichers', LOL!!!

Hey there Fiberglass RV people. I'm kinda new. I have a 1979 Triple-E Surfside and have already done lots of renos to this baby but am wondering what the best way to go is for replacing the foam liner on the walls and ceiling? Dan

Hi Jamie,
I'm also new, live in Winnipeg, and just bought a 77 Surfside. I think mine is also going to be seeing a major Reno.
I'd love to hear how yours is going as you move forward, and I'd especially like to know if you find some good sources! I'll be doing the same.
Steve.

Hi Steve,
Welcome to the forum. I own a 79 surfside Triple e and just replaced the window operators. If you need any tips in that area, it's still fresh in my mind.

Does your trailer have a black foam with an off white vinyl layer?
If so, it is Ensolite. It is not easy to find anything better. If you can save it, you might be better off. There is now a source to purchase replacement sections: Wall Covering / T-Molding | Trillium RV
The new stuff kinda looks like it is not a perfict match.
Otherwise, several manufactures use something commonly called Rat Fur. If you search this site for that term you will find lots of info.

Hi Ed,
I just might take you up on that. It seems the window crank on at least one window isn't closing the window all the way. Though the rest do seem good!
