Talking Unidentified Early Fglass Toy Hauler

Hello, I am a new member. Thanks for letting me join. I recently purchased a glass Toy hauler of sorts. Previously owned by the Shriners. The back door comes down and acts as a ramp. Supposedly they used it to haul the little cars that they run in parades. There is no Identifying plate or badging. Here are some pics. Can anyone Identify this piece? Thanx !

I've seen photo's of something similar here before. Darned if I can remember what it was called. Time for @DonnaD to come up with the answer. She always does.

Maybe I beat her to it. Found it - Apeco - Small World.

Looks like something from Star Treks early years! Roy, you're so kind and yes I do try to follow the unusual builds, but honestly this looks like a 'one off.' MIght have started as a Compact base... those wheel wells look familiar...

I think Donna posted while I was editing the link above.

And this thread has a link to a Popular Mechanic article where the trailer can be seen on page 172

It is a 1972 Apeco Small World. I own one. The rear is not a ramp. It folds out with a tent room.

1972 Apeco

Jeff, can you post some pictures, interior/exterior? I'm fascinated. Extremely curious about specs . And it's so cool!

As stated earlier, that is an Apeco "Small World" trailer. I was on the verge of buying one, but the dealer sold it out from under me.
They were made for a very short time. The name Apeco is an acronym for American Photographic Equipment Company! They started out in business making equipment for photographers.
I'm extremely interested in finding and purchasing one of these odd little trailers. If you or anyone else has one for sale, please contact me. Thanks!
