Ventura-ing in Winnipeg!

Hi! I'm The new owner of a 13ft Ventura, year unknown. Just picked it up this weekend and M ridiculously happy about it! . It is the perfect size for me to get away weekends. I'm looking forward to learning about this camper in your documents section.

No major refurbishing planned. Just freshening up and decorating the interior which appears to be in good condition. Definitely do something interesting on the neglected exterior (hmm, is it better to paint or use wraps/decals??).

Have much to learn about campers and such, starting with getting the proper hitch on my SUV, then how to drive with it attached! It may take some time, but I'll figure it out.

Welcome

Welcome to the FG and Ventura communities.
You will find lots of great information and inspiration on these forums.
Check out the notice for the FG gathering at St. Malo in August.
I am another new (since May) Ventura owner in your area and there are a few others, I think, and more across the prairies.
Where did you find your trailer?

No Adrian, my trailer is not in camping condition yet. I have a lot to do before I can get it on the road. I will be going to the gathering in St. Malo on the Saturday but just to see other trailers amnd meet owners. Maybe next year I will be there with mine.

Nice find. Had you been looking for a trailer? Good for you for acting quickly.
It looks like in good shape and there are still a lot of the original features on the outside. What about the inside?

Yes! I've been talking about getting a small trailer for 3 or 4 years. Each summer I periodically scan sale items, only to find the publication is out of date, then resign myself to 'next year'. A couple weeks ago I was detoured on my way home and noticed this one in a parking lot, so I turned in simply out of curiosity, peeked in the windows and called to ask about seeing the interior.

Two hours later the seller parked it in my driveway! Now I have to get my car ready to tow it. Oh, and learn how to operate everything. Plugging in the electrical was easy, but I don't know how to get the stove or water to work. LOL

I'll take interior photos today for you. No idea what is original for features. Perhaps someone has found an original brochure or something.

There's a Ventura section on this site with files with original manual..I'd love some close ups...love to see someone inside window cranks for.someone butchured mine lol
You need to have propane gas tank on or turn the knob so gas's can flow then u turn on the bass to your stove and use a lighter or that's how mine worked till I took it out

What water? City water? You screw a house to the outside.of it the tank he told me had a crack so needs to be fixed for that water
