Wake Up Lil Snoozy
We just got back from our very first camping trip with our "Lil Boozy". Both Amy and I had lots of backpacking and van camping experience, but this was our first RV trip. We had a few "hiccups", both with the some minor issues with the trailer and with us learning the new "routines. Allan and Nicholas were very helpful in taking prompt action on getting us back in business, so we can begin to plan our next trip. We got a lot of interest from folks in the state park, and all were surprised at how roomy the Snoozy is. We especially loved the pop up window at the sink that Nicholas came up with, and used it a lot when cooking our meals. The real queen sized mattress was terrific and we slept like babies with our two dogs taking over the couch. The couch is very comfortable, and we ate and played cribbage on the table. There is a lot of thought that went into our trailers design, and I'm sure there will be changes as time goes on. She pulled like she wasn't there behind our van, I tried the generator and of course the campsite facilities, and we really enjoyed the first of many excursions to come. I heard rumor of a rally coming up in October...check in with Nicholas.
I'm going to try and attach photos...here goes

It came with the trailer. I also used the scissor jack from my van to level it out.
I'll get another scissor jack from a junk yard or something from CW and AL and Nick may redo the attached jack on the tongue.

Nice!
Congratulations on your new "Lil Boozy". Nice unit.
Did you opt for more windows that what is standard? Must be nice and light inside.
I will be interested in seeing how you enjoy your Lil Snoozy as you use her/him more.
Thanks for sharing and take care.

Yes, we opted to add a big window where a flat tv can be installed, across from the couch. Even has pre-wiring for antenna connection.
We also added a small window in the sleeping area for some cross ventilation.

Is it just an illusion that the large window is shaped different on the hook up side compared the the windows on the AC side? I have not seen one in person. Thanks.
PS> are both the a/c side windows popouts?

"We had a few "hiccups", both with the some minor issues with the trailer and with us learning the new "routines."
One of the reasons it is recommended that your first night be in your driveway.
Congratulations on your new baby.

They are the same. Only the one at the sink pops out, although it could be made to pop out if you wanted it

Oconee State Park, SC. It was nice. We will return to the area again. It's in the NW part of the state, near NC

Yes...we're familiar with Oconee...not that far from where we live...give a shout next time you're in the 'hood and we'll come visit if we're not "ooot and aboot." as a Scotsman friend says. (if you don't mind, that is.)

Screened gazebo
I am rethinking adding an attached awning to my Lil Snoozy when they become available. I definately want one over the door, for when it rains. I think I am now more inclined to have a 10' x 10' screened in canopy that would be rain resistant and also have screen netting. I could see installing it over the tables we typically see at the campsites, and I am currently interested in the E-Z up Dome II with the screen room. Has anyone had experience with a screened gazebo?...are you familiar with the E-z up? I would like one that won't fall apart quickly, so if you know of a different manufacturer to consider in the $250 range, please let me know. Thanks

An Easy Up or and free standing 10x10 would work perfect over your back door, which is vertical and a lot better than those along the sides which are curved. I'd get the ones with the straight legs vs the one where the legs spread out, that is where they tell you the measure is, the distance from the legs vs coverage area.

Eureka Northern Breeze
We use a Eureka Northern Breeze tent with our Scamp 13. I really love it! It is very versatile as you can use it with the flaps down or up or even out as awnings. We put the campground picnic table in it. We have even run an extension cord to it and run a box fan on warmer days. When it rains or when we are gone for the day, we can put the flaps down and put all the lawn chairs and outdoor stuff in it and keep everything dry and out of site.
I got ours new on Ebay for a lot less then the Eureka website price.

Here is a review of the tent on YouTube.
